The PeopleSoft ERP Manager's role is to supervise and maintain the organization's PeopleSoft application through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The PeopleSoft ERP Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of the PeopleSoft application, interfaces and sub-systems. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
The PeopleSoft ERP Manager also functions as a hands-on Project Manager and analyst as needed to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating, installing, configuring, and deploying new applications, system interfaces, products, and enhancements to the existing PeopleSoft application.
- Analyzing documentation and technical specifications of application upgrades/ enhancements under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
- Managing the development and deployment of new PeopleSoft enhancements, upgrades, interfaces and related systems.
- Ensuring that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Leading and managing the performance of the application team and external resources in support of business operations.
- Liaising with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
- Reviewing and analyzing existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
- Developing and communicating training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities.
- Supporting commitment to safety and other selected company standards and certifications
- Performing other position-related duties as specified by management
Position Specifications
:- Four-year college degree with six years Peoplesoft ERP experience (must be from an accredited institution) or twelve years Peoplesoft ERP experience without a college degree
- Technical Skills and Competencies Required
- Demonstrated ability in leading staff and cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in overseeing or leading the design, development, and implementation of major PeopleSoft enhancements and/or upgrades.
- Strong functional expertise in at least 3 PeopleSoft disciplines.
- Working knowledge of the PeopleSoft architecture and database organization.
- Thorough understanding of Excel, Query, Crystal, SQL and other business tools.
- Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database, hardware, software, and standards, and data retrieval methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
