General Purpose of the Job Lead Epic Solutions & Architecture by bridging business strategy and technical execution, maintaining a system-wide view of the Epic ecosystem, managing and mentoring Epic Analysts and Architects, defining the architectural runway to support long-term goals, and aligning technology decisions with executive leadership's strategic vision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Directly manage a team of Epic Analysts and Architects, including professional development, performance management, and daily priorities.
- Mentor teammates through complex technical challenges, set a high bar for technical excellence, and provide a clear career path for the team.
- Strategically delegate work across the team, balancing project timelines with individual growth opportunities and team capacity.
- Set the standard for technical quality, conduct build reviews, and ensure industry-standard frameworks are used across implementations.
- Serve as the final authority on system and feature decisions, including technology selection, design, and scalability.
- Partner with executive leadership to translate business strategy into technical execution plans and align technical roadmaps with strategic objectives.
- Define the architectural runway to support long-term business goals and ensure the Epic ecosystem remains stable and scalable through growth.
- Design with a holistic view of the Epic ecosystem, managing cross-module dependencies and navigating risks across multiple teams.
- Act as Technical Lead on high-impact business initiatives, providing implementation oversight across the project lifecycle.
- Oversee solution designs, prototypes or proofs of concept, requirements translation, risk mitigation, technical roadblock removal, stakeholder communication, and change-management considerations.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Education and Requirements - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Management/Administration, Nursing, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of Epic implementation and complex development, including multi-module solutioning through build, support, and upgrades required. Demonstrating experience managing direct reports and leading technical teams within a healthcare IT environment. Ability to balance immediate hands-on troubleshooting needs with long-term architectural planning and team development. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions at the executive level and mentor technical staff.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.
The Salary Range for the role is $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year.
