Manager, Environmental Services

LOCATION: REMOTE

MUST RESIDE IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

Annual Compensation: $102,000.00 - $115,000.00 DOE

 

 

 The Environmental Manager role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations, minimize environmental impact, and promote sustainable practices. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental management, with specific knowledge of the unique challenges and regulations within the air and ground ambulance industry sector.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations applicable to the air and ground ambulance industry.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Serves as the primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies, maintaining awareness of changes in regulations and facilitating communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Environmental Audits: Conduct regular environmental audits to assess compliance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with local operations leadership and teams.
  • Waste Management: Develops and oversees waste management programs, including hazardous waste disposal.
  • Spill Response Planning: Develop and maintain spill response plans for both air and ground operations, ensuring timely and effective response to minimize environmental impact.
  • Environmental Training: Provide training to employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Environmental Risk Assessments: Coordinates environmental impact assessments for new projects, operations, or changes to existing processes, ensuring potential environmental risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and internal management. This includes engaging legal for “Notices of Violation” when they occur.
  • Position requires some travel within the United States.
