Position Summary

As the Inventory & Receiving Manager, you will be at the heart of our supply chain-ensuring inventory moves accurately, safely, and efficiently from arrival to distribution. This role is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong teams, and turns complexity into execution.

You'll oversee inventory and receiving operations, lead a team of supervisors and associates, and partner across campus departments to deliver outstanding service to our retail partners and customers. Your leadership will directly influence productivity, safety, cost control, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Operational Leadership
  • Lead and manage supervisors responsible for day-to-day inventory and receiving operations.
  • Ensure production standards are consistently met or exceeded while maintaining accuracy and safety.
  • Align staffing and scheduling with inbound and outbound volume demands.
  • Partner with Transportation, Shipping, and campus departments to ensure the timely, safe, and accurate movement of product.
  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for inventory and receiving under the direction of the Campus Manager.

People Development & Accountability
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing, engaged workforce.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop supervisors and associates at all levels.
  • Conduct performance planning, coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and trainer for supervisors and trainees progressing through the DLOT curriculum.
  • Communicate company values, goals, policies, and initiatives clearly and consistently.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership
  • Serve as a change agent, driving lean education, adoption, and sustainability within assigned operations.
  • Aggressively identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
  • Target improvement opportunities that enhance throughput, reduce cost, and improve the working environment.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset, encouraging associate-driven ideas and innovation.

Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Minimize workplace accidents and injuries through proactive leadership and accountability.
  • Hold associates accountable for delivering the highest quality product to our customers.

Performance, Reporting & Financial Stewardship
  • Manage labor costs while improving productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Plan, develop, and execute budget and operational goals.
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting and insights to the Campus Manager and leadership team.
  • Recommend and implement process and procedural improvements that drive measurable results.


What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in a distribution or warehouse environment
  • Strong understanding of inventory and receiving operations
  • Familiarity with WMS and supporting systems (RF, voice selection, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree or equivalent experience preferred)
