Job Summary

Manages inventory flow and slotting within the distribution center, ensuring optimal placement and system configuration to support efficient throughput and align with the facility's overall flow strategy. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement flow improvements, identify opportunities for operational enhancements, and drive initiatives that maximize efficiency.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Leads the slotting and warehouse flow process with the local DC leadership team, driving process changes in alignment with overall goals and direction from central Flow & Slotting team leadership.
  • Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock rotation, bin saturation, and overall warehouse flow.
  • Drives slotting and flow improvements by trialing and implementing tools, processes, and system enhancements with cross-functional teams to reduce cost and improve productivity.
  • Utilizes standard slotting tools (as determined by the central Flow & Slotting team) to identify and prioritize slotting opportunities, acting on the highest-value opportunities to support building productivity and throughput.
  • Partners with safety teams to ensure slotting and flow efforts promote a safe associate environment, including proper equipment segregation, ergonomic placement of high-volume items, and accessible positioning of heavy products.
  • Monitors warehouse capacity and proactively plans for seasonal inventory and sales demand increases, supporting temporary inventory needs as determined by central inventory planning and purchasing teams.
  • Collaborates with operations and IT teams to identify and execute improvement methods.
  • Analyzes inventory data to determine optimal product placements and support overall distribution center efficiency.

Work Environment
  • Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.


Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

$101,400.00-$152,500.00 Annual
