Job Title: Manager, Direct Sourcing, L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty
Location: Clark, NJ
A Day in the LifeReporting to the Director, Direct Sourcing LDB, you will drive sourcing excellence for our pioneering dermatological beauty brands. You will act as the strategic link between suppliers, plants, and brands to secure launches, optimize costs, and mitigate operational risks.
- Launch & Operations: Partner with packaging and supply chain teams to secure product launches, manage quotations, and align supplier capacity.
- Value Creation: Lead Money-to-Value (MTV) initiatives to improve gross margin beyond Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and drive benchmarking.
- Financial Management: Own pricing parameter updates in SAP (ADA), resolve invoice discrepancies, and prepare key budget performance updates.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Mitigate supply chain risks, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and act as the escalation point during service crises.

- Direct Sourcing Expertise: Strong purchasing experience, ideally within a manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG environment.
- Financial & Analytical Rigor: High aptitude for data analysis, budget forecasting, and cost-control metrics.
- Negotiation & Influencing: Proven ability to negotiate agreements and persuade cross-functional partners.
- Agile Problem Solving: Excellent crisis-management skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Collaboration: Ability to cultivate trust and build strong networks with diverse internal teams and global suppliers.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in purchasing or direct sourcing, ideally within an FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial acumen with a high capacity for data analysis and budget forecasting.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, with an aptitude for learning digital sourcing tools and ERP databases (such as SAP).
