Full Job Description
Other duties as assigned. Utilizes pre-construction understanding of operational considerations to assess project risks and formulate mitigation plans. Develops and updates project budgets using the "Project Budget Tracking Form." Delivers projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner according to the approved project scope. Effectively manages and collaborates on multiple small projects simultaneously. Leads the design and construction process, managing consultants, vendors, and contractors on multiple projects. Leads project evaluation meetings and administrative reviews from conception to completion. Monitors the negotiation and bidding process to ensure fair and competitive practices. Develops, manages, and delivers a project change control process to ensure the project team operates within the scope and change approval process. Coordinates the work of the Project Coordinator to assure the project is progressing appropriately, frequently visits job site throughout construction. Monitors contractor activities for compliance with project budget and specification requirements. Effectively prepares and presents technical and/or educational documentation of assigned projects to enhance the knowledge of our customers and team members affected. Actively participates in internal and/or external training programs, staying current and compliant on application or technical skills applicable to assigned duties. Follows established procedures of the Office of Design and Construction. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the Office of Design and Construction. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 3 Excellent project management skills to manage multiple small to mid-sized healthcare projects [Required] 3 Knowledge of healthcare design and construction techniques [Required] 3 Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contracts [Required] 3 Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills [Required] 3 Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with and manage multi-faceted teams [Required] 3 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook [Required] 3 Comfortable in making presentations to management and customers [Required] 3 Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management program [Preferred] 3 Proficient in e-Builder software program [Preferred] Education: 3 Bachelor's [Required] 3 Master's [Preferred] Field of Study: 3 in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management or related field,AND/OR equivalent years of experience 3 in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management or related field Work Experience: 3 3+ healthcare design and construction project management experience [Preferred] 3 5+ design and construction project management experience.
