Manager, Clinical Vendor Mgmt 1
As a Manager, Clinical Vendor Management at ICON, you will be responsible for overseeing the contracting process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
What You Will Do:
You will manage day-to-day supply chain and procurement activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
5+ years of contract experience, preferably in the clinical research area
Read, write, and speak fluent English
Ability to draft and execute all contract request types
Negotiate with third-party vendors on legal language in proposed contracts utilizing guidance documentation provided by Legal
Ensure contract terms and budget meet Company’s Standard Operating Procedures, department processes, and financial/legal requirements
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must
Responsible for departments metrics production and assists with testing new Company systems
Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrate leadership abilities
Effective time management skills required
Provide regular contract status updates and communications to stakeholders
Keep Department Tracker up-to-date with current contract status and metrics data
Contribute to development of improvements to department processes and templates
Able to independently draft and execute complex agreements
Triage incoming requests from Company’s internal process systems or the outlook mailbox and disperse/allocate to other team members
Manage inquiries coming to the Department outlook mailbox
Train new or existing Contract Analysts on Company’s systems and different contract types
Lead and/or contribute to special projects
Your Profile:
You will have solid supply chain and procurement experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, with extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Proven experience in managing procurement operations, including vendor negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage procurement teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in managing procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to driving efficiency and compliance in procurement operations.
Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)
