OVERVIEW

LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, headquartered in downtown San Francisco, is looking for a full time Manager, Clinical Services to support patients and students throughout LightHouse's service area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 2 years working in a clinical setting, experiencing managing a team is preferred.years experience working in a community-centered setting and/or guest services/reception role. Experiencing managing a team is preferred.

Bicultural and bilingual welcomed, particularly in languages like American Sign Language, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, Tagalog, or Vietnamese.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong Microsoft office skills and experience in database entry; strong interpersonal skills to relate to staff, blind/visually impaired students, and persons in the community with varied backgrounds and viewpoints. Ability to formulate individual, sequential training plan. Ability to move about within a variety of environmental conditions. Knowledge of braille desired.

Demonstrated attention to detail and in possession of problem-solving skills; flexibility and ability to multi-task; ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment; and grant and project oversight abilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clinical Services Manager is a working manager who will maintain an intake caseload at 49% and is responsible for providing daily supervision of the LightHouse Clinical Services team.

SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Day-to-day supervision of Clinical Services team
  • Creates and maintains Clinical Services schedule in collaboration with Clinic Coordinator and Intake Team
  • Facilitates regular Clinical Services meetings to review program goals, progress, and challenges
  • Responsible for managing LightHouse's Enhanced Care Management program, in partnership with VP, Rehab and Clinical Services
  • Collaborates with Quality and Outcomes and Finance teams to ensure all processes are documented and followed as it pertains to compliance and billing to grants, contracts, and private medical insurance
  • Maintains and follows all reporting requirements by external medical authorizers
  • Conduct quarterly and annual staff goals and reviews.
  • Ensure that team grant deliverables are being achieved and appropriately managed in collaboration with VP, Rehab and Clinical Services
  • Provide budget oversight and planning.

Provider Accountabilities
  • Maintains an active Service Navigation Case Load of 49% of work time
  • Collaborate with Intake Coordinators to ensure smooth transition from initial student intakes and assessments to LightHouse student Pathway
  • Collaborate with Rehab and Clinical Services Teams to ensure students receive timely responses to service referrals
  • In partnership with LightHouse student, create LightHouse Individual Service Plan (ISP) and support student in following this plan by checking in with students and if applicable, their support systems, at least monthly.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes on each student in Salesforce and Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
  • Maintain active dialogue with students and their support networks, when appropriate
  • Assist students in signing up for external services and/or make external referrals

EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:
  • Ensure entry of all student service data into Salesforce and other relevant systems are entered by Wednesday for the prior week.
  • Submit monthly reporting, billing, and reimbursements accurately and timely by the 5th business day of preceding month.
  • All inquiries will receive a response in their original format within 3 business days
  • Be present for Intake Team for direction, support, and removing obstacles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to sit at a desk and perform computer-intensive work for long periods and operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work at offsite location(s) independently as needed.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Greater Bay Area when required.
