Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Manager for Civil and Structural team to join our project execution team who will work on supervising civil and structural engineers who work on engineering documents for the piling, module design, piperack design the site preparation, grading, drainage, roads, and paving of our LNG facilities. This position is accountable to provide high quality civil and structural engineering work execution for the LNG projects. The ideal candidate should be a safety-oriented leader that could supervise other Engineers and is able to keep track of multiple tasks with the separate deadlines.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Oversight of studies and reviews calculations of structural engineering of the projects, including large modules piperack and piping supports.
  • Oversight of studies for and design of civil infrastructure projects including storm event mitigation, water and wastewater conveyance and treatment, CSO mitigation, green infrastructure.
  • Review or develop Quality Control procedures, ensuring EPC Contractor, and Subcontract teams adhere to specified quality plans, update those plans as required during the lifecycle of the project.
  • Support Yard fabrication management including reviewing fabrication documents and submittals, reviewing daily inspections, and assisting with project punch list closure.
  • Coordinate with fabrication yard personnel to resolve RFIs, NCRs.
  • Review the Contractor specifications, calculations and other deliverables and provide guiding comments, and verify that the project requirements are fully addressed.
  • Familiar with FERC and PHMSA requirements.
  • Review project deliverable and documents for adequacy of proposed final design, possibility of more economical final design, and method of construction.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience:
  • 20+ years of experience as a Civil and structural Engineer
  • LNG experience preferred
  • Experience in US Gulf coast capital project execution
  • Module yard execution experience
  • Familiar with surge wall design for flood mitigation strategy

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with modularized execution and fabrication
  • Self directs work with limited supervision
  • Provides guidance, leadership and training to less experienced engineers
  • Work with project team as representative and coordinates work within discipline department
  • Adjust to varying demands of work and manage changes
  • Skills in oral and written communication
  • Works collaboratively across departments and involves others in solving problems. Initiates meetings within own team, other disciplines or internal customers for clarity on work
  • Serves as technical resource and point of contact for external or internal customers
  • Should have experience in managing and responding to the RFIs from owner's construction team, vendors, EPC contractors
  • Travel to job site in Cameron Parish, Louisiana or Module yard in Asia as needed
