Job Description:- Maintains compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Manages and administers assigned care units to ensure delivery of quality care.
- Recruits, interviews, selects, and hires team members to maintain adequate coverage.
- Administers and interprets personnel policies and procedures, including wage and salary.
- Ensures appropriate orientation and training of new personnel.
- Counsels team members for disciplinary and exemplary actions according to policy.
- Submits and manages schedules to ensure appropriate department coverage.
- Assesses staffing needs and collaborates to meet staffing standards consistently.
- Utilizes clinical expertise and leadership skills to ensure efficient unit operations.
- Implements the Quality Improvement plan in collaboration with department leadership.
- Manages fiscal responsibilities to control costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Participates in the development of new programs and services to improve department offerings.
Education:- Associate's [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Work Experience:- 5+ experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership abilities; appropriate decision making with a history of positive interpersonal relationships with hospital team members, patients and visitors. [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] OR Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) [Required] OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) [Required] OR Cardiovascular Interventional Tech Cert (CVIT) [Required] OR Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
