QUALIFICATIONS:- Typically 7-10 years of technology experience, preferably in infrastructure or network engineering, with at least 2 years of technical leadership experience directly managing engineers in an infrastructure, systems, or network discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
- Core infrastructure services, including compute, storage, VMware, and VxRail
- Networking, including routing, switching, Cisco firewalls, wireless, segmentation, and network security
- Windows Server and Linux fundamentals
- Listening to feedback, understanding business problems, and proposing practical solutions
- Exposure to or interest in learning more about:
- Automation frameworks (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)

Preferred Location: MOCertain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $126,800 to $158,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

This role will lead a team of Systems and Network Engineers responsible for partnering directly with business groups that have specialized IT needs, primarily the NAIC warehouse operations in Edwardsville, IL, and the Integration Center lab environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in compute, storage, networking, network security, operating systems, automation, and observability, along with the leadership skills needed to coordinate team priorities, develop talent, anticipate obstacles, and support a fast-paced business environment.
This role balances people leadership, stakeholder engagement, partner alignment, and technical oversight. The manager will work closely with senior leaders across infrastructure, development, and business organizations; drive meaningful organizational change; and maintain an on-site presence as needed at the NAIC warehouses and Integration Center in Edwardsville, IL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Collaborate with peer managers to define and drive the team roadmap.
- Understand stakeholder needs and translate them into reliable infrastructure and network services.
- Use feedback to identify improvement opportunities and deliver practical, iterative solutions.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain strong systems and network engineering talent.
- Evaluate contract-to-hire engineers and make conversion recommendations based on performance and business need.
- Promote an inclusive team culture where engineers from diverse backgrounds can learn, contribute, and grow.
- Define, communicate, and reinforce the team's vision, strategy, and priorities through stakeholder engagements and roadmap reviews.
- Prioritize, plan, and execute work across new infrastructure and network build-outs, hardware lifecycle and refresh, and technical debt remediation.
- Build strong relationships across IT and business stakeholder groups, balancing priorities and resolving friction that may hinder collaboration.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure solutions and decisions align with strategic direction.
- Develop and manage relationships with key external vendors and partners.
- Manage budget planning for software, hardware, and resources needed to support the team.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and support of NAIC warehouse network infrastructure and Integration Center compute, storage, and operating system environments.
- Partner with Security to align network segmentation, zero trust access, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability remediation priorities with the team roadmap.
- Own the support schedule and on-call rotation, ensuring Tier 2/3 escalation paths and service levels are met.
- Oversee capacity, performance, and disaster recovery planning for warehouse and Integration Center environments.
- Drive standardization through automation, configuration management, and current documentation, including as-builts, network diagrams, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles.
- Oversee hardware and software procurement and vendor engagement for warehouse and Integration Center build-outs.
- Manage ServiceNow queue health, reporting, and dashboards for the team.
