Full Job Description
Your role:

  • Collaborate with Partners and the Assurance & Advisory team toassistin planning, execution, and completion of a wide range of Audit and Review engagements,
  • Manage the engagement process including planning, execution, and finalizationin accordance withapplicable Standards, including continuous communication with the team and clientsregardingdeadlines and deliverables,
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, WIP, andtimelybilling,
  • Support, mentor, and train a team of professionals during field assignments while actively managing the engagement progress, which includes occasional preparation of files whereadditionalassistance is required. Guide the team on accounting and auditing standards as well as BT KDN specificmethodology,
  • Analyze financial information and operational performance for adherence to applicable accounting standards,
  • Assess risk, controls, and accounting processes to offer clients solutions and recommendations,
  • Review personal, corporate,non-profitand charitable organizations tax returns,
  • Compile and review financial statements and related note disclosures to ensurein accordance withapplicable financial reporting frameworks,
  • Provide personal and attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships,
  • Add value byidentifyingclient service opportunities, including cross-team collaboration,
  • Coach, mentor, and develop assigned employees for high performance and professional growth,
  • Share your technical or human skills with the broader Assurance team by developing andfacilitatingongoing training opportunities,
  • Engage with all levels of our team while working to bring our strategy to life andparticipatein firm wide events that foster our amazing workplace culture,
  • Generate new business opportunities by promoting the firm'sexpertiseand services, as well as developing ideas and solutions.


What you bring to the table:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) with at least 5 years' public accounting experience,
  • Experienced in owner-managed businesses and private enterprises,
  • Minimum of 2 years in a progressive management role with a CPA firm,
  • Proven leadership skills in a collaborative environment,
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and client service skills,
  • Proven track record of planning and executing effective and efficient Audit engagements on time and budget,
  • Strong technical and analytical skills matched with problem-solving skills and professional judgement to help you find optimal solutions in an efficient manner,
  • Curiosity and an eye for detail that allows you to view challenges from multiple perspectives and enhance clients' knowledge along the way,
  • A passion for learning and developing self and team members to the next level,
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS office, CaseWare, Tax Prep, QuickBooks.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary range: $91,000 - $115,000 a year

This base salary is a guide, and successful candidates will be offered a rate of compensation based on a combination of factors including relevant experience, skills, education, and market alignment.
