SUMMARY:

The Management Analyst 2 will conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplifications and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. The Management Analyst 2 is a junior level position, and functions under the supervision of more senior staff.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Function as a Management Analyst and expert on management systems techniques, processes and technology that will optimize the Division's operations. • Analyze administrative processes and/or Division programs. • Prepares written reports, letters, and other documents with recommendations for management programs, policies and activities. • Review and revise procedures for financial and administrative review of travel procedures to facilitate the operation of the Division with established guidelines. Conduct administrative and financial analysis of travel activities. • Compiles data and prepares various recurring reports such as monthly, quarterly, cumulative semi- annual and cumulative annual reports of use of travel services. • Requires sufficient knowledge of a field to perform most work in normal situations. The work calls for comprehension of standard situations and includes knowledge of most of the significant aspects of the subject. • Provide technical guidance and assistance to lower-level staff in the review of documents in the official travel process. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

• Be a US citizen, and possess at a minimum, a Secret security clearance, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience. One year of relevant experience and/or relevant coursework can be substituted for each year of required education. Professional certifications such as CGFM, CSA, or PMP are appropriate for some positions and can also substitute for a year of experience. • Possess excellent command of the English language and excellent writing skills.• Be Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel). • Maintains professional competence and specialized knowledge base by keeping abreast of emerging themes and best practices. • Knowledge of and skill in applying analytical and evaluate techniques in order to plan, schedule and conduct studies and analyses of management functions or programs. • Knowledge of substantive programs, goals, pertinent laws, and policies in order to analyze and assemble information; and knowledge of management and organizational techniques, systems and procedures to perform analytical studies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

A professional office in which typical office equipment and information technology is used.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must be able to: see, hear, and speak; lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds; sit for extended time; and use a personal computer and typical peripheral devices.

 

TRAVEL:

None.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

 

ADDITONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
