About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of Maintenance Tradespersons (10-15 individuals) in executing maintenance activities ensuring asset management processes are consistentlyapplied.

This role is a great opportunity to lead and develop a maintenance execution team.Working and reporting to the Superintendent - Maintenance, you will:

  • Monitor working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees.Comply with Rio Tinto and Statutory Safety requirements

  • Understand, apply, and adhere to the approved maintenance work management program and ensure compliance to planned and scheduled work orders.

  • Allocate maintenance coverage for breakdowns.Resolve immediate job issues (with regards to planned maintenance activities, maintenance shutdowns, etc.)

  • Manage, supervise and allocate work to a team of tradespersons in maintenance activities.

  • Interface with planners and peer Supervisors to assist in planning and scheduling of work.

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and solicit input from team members.

  • Work schedule is 5/5/4 rotation days and nights 12+ hour shifts

What youll bring (Requirements)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance, operations or a related field

  • Experience working with or leading a team

  • Knowledge of mining equipment, subsystems, lubrication properties and equipment troubleshooting

  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, Excel & SAP

  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations
