Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Lead Maintenance Team driving excellence in Safety, Machine/Equipment Performance, and Compliance
  • Accountable for maintenance, equipment repair, regulatory requirements, safety and sanitation requirements
  • Develops and maintains plant preventative maintenance programs
  • Leads projects involving installation, modification, or renovation of building and equipment
  • Collaborate with corporate engineers, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to ensure customer needs are met
  • Leads efforts to upgrade facility for efficiency, safety and reliability
  • Controls labor costs, hiring, scheduling, and development of maintenance partners in team-oriented environment
  • Manages repairs/supplies, purchases, and budgets
  • Assures compliance with government regulatory agencies

Majority of this role is day shift. November through July each year the Supervisor is on day shift. The mechanics shift during this time is 7am-3:30pm, therefore the expectation is for the Supervisor to be onsite with a slightly early and later departure time.

The supervisor will have approximately two additional weeks of second shift work.

August through October is night shift from 7pm-7am.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership

  • Lead and manage Skilled Trade Employees including a Maintenance Planner
  • Support Maintenance Planner in the Planning/scheduling of PM work orders
  • Manage the execution of the Skilled Trade workers to plan developed with Maintenance Planner
  • Ensuring work orders are executed effectively in a timely, costly and quality manner.
  • Provide Supervisor guidance and coaching to maintenance personnel on a daily basis.
  • Accountable for reporting/escalating violations, non-compliance, low performance and be able to take supervisory/disciplinary actions
  • Maintain maintenance budget and develop the plan to drive the reduction of maintenance costs in labor and materials
  • Drive all KPI's related to work order management
  • Responsible for utilizing external resources based on workload and windows of opportunity
  • Working closely with vendors to order materials and guarantee timely arrival to limit production disruptions
  • Provide training for employees or avenues of training on equipment processes, procedures and safety
  • Develop and execute Capital projects to improve safety and throughput efficacy working with factory engineer and Technicians/contractors to develop and validate scope, implementation plan, and execute project
  • Champion the implementation and execution of Maintenance Foundations building strong teams and processes
  • Support Operations and Maintenance during production serving as Single Point of Contact for operational and quality control
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Safety, Health, and Environmental
  • Driving a Safety Culture by Leading through Example
  • Ensure compliance of Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed by employees and Contractors
  • Work with Factor Leadership Team to resolve identified safety issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the development of safe work instructions and have available for positions, ensuring processes are run in accordance with SOP's and other documentation.
  • Ensure employees have the required level of safety training for tasks being executed
  • Ensure new equipment installations are well maintained with safety guards & devices ensuring safety of our people
  • To ensure activities being performed having an environmental impact are communicated and accomplished according to the environmental management systems

All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.

Qualifications and Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience of 10 years in maintenance leadership may be considered

Up to 10% of travel may be required

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3-5 years progressive Maintenance Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP/CMMS experience is highly preferred
  • TPM experience is highly preferred
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred


SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate with all levels
  • Financial aptitude
  • Ability to use problem solving techniques using DMAIC tools and implementing preventative actions plans
  • Able to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts (i.e. 10 hrs., 12 hrs.) as needed
  • Flexible with Strong Organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Service oriented attitude


The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
