Maintenance Storeroom Lead
LOCATION: Location - Winston Salem
REPORTS TO: Manager - Manager Maintenance and Reliability

As the Maintenance Storeroom Lead you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance storeroom operations to ensure the availability, accuracy, and efficient management of maintenance spare parts, materials, and supplies. This role leads inventory control, procurement activities, vendor relationships, and storeroom personnel while supporting maintenance reliability objectives. The Maintenance Storeroom Lead partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, and external suppliers to optimize inventory levels, control costs, and ensure parts are available to support safe and reliable plant operations.

What you will do:
Inventory management:
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure parts are accessible.
  • Establish and monitor minimum/maximum stock levels.
  • Perform cycle counts and use technology to track transactions accurately.
  • Ensure all parts are charged to work orders.


Procurement and vendor management:
  • Order parts, materials, and maintenance kits.
  • Work with vendors to source cost-effective supplies and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage vendor relationships and provide training when necessary.


Operational oversight:
  • Ensure storeroom compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storeroom.
  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans and managing the maintenance budget.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like stockouts and inventory turnover rate.


Team and project support:
  • Support the maintenance management team and other staff by fulfilling parts requests.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Supervise and provide work direction to other storeroom staff


Who you are?
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, maintenance storeroom operations, supply chain, maintenance planning, or a related industrial environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, food processing, chemical processing, or similar production environment.
  • Experience with inventory control systems, ERP platforms, and CMMS software.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance spare parts management and procurement processes.
  • Experience leading or coordinating the work of others.


Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Certification in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Purchasing, Reliability, or Maintenance Management.
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory management best practices.

Pay Range:
$84,400.00-$112,533.33 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
