Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of Bombardier business aircraft into operator operations, focusing on safety and efficiency
  • Manage aircraft fleet mechanical irregularities by collaborating with flight crews and applying MELs
  • Provide troubleshooting support to resolve technical issues and assist during repairs and upgrades
  • Plan and coordinate unscheduled maintenance events, updating operational leadership as needed
  • Oversee AOG, unscheduled, and scheduled events while ensuring documentation and tooling availability
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to operator procedures involving Bombardier aircraft
  • Process parts requisitions to support unscheduled and AOG events
  • Review return to service packages and present them to the operator's Quality Team
  • Participate in operator meetings to address fleet reliability and product improvements

What are your contributions to the team?

The Maintenance Operations Center Controller supports daily aircraft maintenance operations by coordinating troubleshooting, MELs, and AOG events. The role works closely with flight crews, maintenance vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The MOC Controller ensures proper documentation, parts, and tooling are in place to support a safe and timely aircraft return to service.

In your role, you will:
  • Support operator in integrating Bombardier business aircraft into their operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Responsible for managing mechanical irregularities of the aircraft fleet by working with flight crews to attempt to clear or reset discrepancies, apply MEL(s) to correct discrepancies, or document AOG discrepancies.
  • Provide robust troubleshooting support to assist operator in resolving technical issues effectively and support field teams during troubleshooting, repairs, modification retrofits, product upgrades, and damage repairs at operator facilities or service centers.
  • Plan unscheduled events by coordinating maintenance teams or vendors, creating work order(s), and updating Operations and leadership.
  • Oversee AOG, Unscheduled, and Scheduled events. Ensure proper documentation, GSE tooling and support is available to technicians working aircraft.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operator procedures and operations involving Bombardier aircraft.
  • Process parts requisitions for any / all required parts to support unscheduled and AOG events and submit to Technical Buyers for processing.
  • Receive and review return to service aircraft (RTS) package when required and present RTS package to operator Quality Team.
  • Participate in operator meetings, including fleet reliability and operational reviews and identify recurring fleet issues to Bombardier Technical Services for potential product improvements.
  • Prioritize and escalate technical or operational concerns within both the operator's organization and Bombardier and provide reports in line with established schedules and requirements.


How to thrive in this role?

  • You have at least 5 years of aviation maintenance experience
  • You have at least 2 years of experience with Bombardier products (Global 5000 / 6000 series, Global 7500, and Challenger 300/350 series) - preferred
  • Mandatory to have an FAA-issued Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • You have a working knowledge of Federal Aviation (FAA) Regulations with knowledge & understanding of turbine powered aircraft systems
  • You have strong aircraft troubleshooting skills
  • You have computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications
  • You have interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, organizations, and regulatory agencies
  • You have business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence
  • You are self-driven and have a problem-solver attitude
  • You have the ability to travel
  • Initial responsibilities will include occasional on-call support, with the understanding that as the supported fleet grows over the next five years, hours and expectations may adjust to include shift work.
