Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic III will perform a variety of functions involved in the complex repair of Company facilities, property and equipment. This position will work with little to no supervision to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment within facility. Will be a mentor and train lower-level mechanics.

Job Requirements:
  • Examine, repair and maintain and replace defective parts machines and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Trouble shooting electrical, industrial hydraulic and pneumatic problems on a variety of industrial equipment.
  • Effectively interpret schematics and diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems for equipment
  • Make adjustments necessary to insure efficient operation.
  • Move heavy machine parts with the aid of hoists or rollers.
  • Communicate with plant and company management regarding scheduling and repair status.
  • Teach junior mechanics skills necessary to complete tasks.
  • Comply with Company standards and applicable repair procedures and regulations.
  • Inspects and checks work prior to turning machinery back to users, assuring that all safety factors have been attended to in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
  • Performs related paperwork as instructed by supervisory personnel.
  • Must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and repair PLC based systems.
  • Participates in maintenance projects to achieve improvements.
  • Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor
  • Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
  • Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.


Skill Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED and/or combination of vocational school.
  • 5 years repairing and/or maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment or related industrial machinery.
  • Meet all requirements for the Maintenance Mechanic I and II positions.
  • Able to read circuit diagrams and schematics.
  • 2+ years' experience with basic PLC knowledge
  • Certified in Etchline.
  • Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension).
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisor, Safety, and QC personnel.
  • Ability to use and operate equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and directions.
  • Intermediate math skills and measuring abilities.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills to include specifications, and / or blueprint interpretation


Preferred Requirements:
  • Machine shop background.
  • Knowledge of metal work and fabrication and abrasives.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired.
  • Tech or Trade school training certificate in related field.
  • 6 years related industrial maintenance experience performing repairs and PM on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical industrial equipment desired.
  • Prior forging equipment repair experience highly desired.
  • Electrical 480-V 3 phase experience preferred.
  • Experience working on CNC machines and presses is a plus.
  • Must be able to conceptualize, fabricate, and develop necessary equipment, and intricate systems.
  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
  • English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
  • Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills/Mathematics.

Compensation: $30 - $48 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
