What You'll Do - Maintenance Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members across multiple shifts
- Conduct daily check-ins to assess workload, prioritize tasks, and reassign resources based on business needs
- Build a high-performing team through training, mentoring, and accountability
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with plant managers daily to resolve production issues and identify improvement opportunities
- Communicate effectively with operations to ensure alignment on priorities and downtime mitigation
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate external services and ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution
Project & Maintenance Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance and construction-related projects
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Purchasing & Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with purchasing to source parts, materials, and maintenance equipment
- Support spare parts management to ensure availability and cost control
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Research and implement new technologies and maintenance methods to improve efficiency and reliability
- Drive initiatives aligned with World Class Maintenance principles
Additional Responsibilities:
- Train and develop maintenance personnel, including apprenticeship programs
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
- Support additional operational needs as assigned
Safety, Quality & Work Standards:
- Perform all responsibilities in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner
- Adhere to all company policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees
- Maintain consistent attendance and availability, including off-hours support as needed
Qualifications:Required Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience managing maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs
- Equipment reliability metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR)
- Experience in:
- Maintenance planning systems (PMs, work orders, emergency work)
- Spare parts and inventory management
- Condition-based monitoring (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling)
Leadership & Business Skills:
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Experience managing budgets and controlling maintenance costs
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Standing: 50-80% | Walking: 15-37% | Sitting: 13-25%
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance/equipment for heavier loads)
- Frequent use of hands, tools, and equipment
- Occasional climbing, bending, and reaching
- Must have vision and hearing ability sufficient to perform job duties safely

Computer systems, forklifts, cranes, trucks, hand tools, precision measuring devices, and standard maintenance/shop equipment.
