We're looking for a proactive and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of Ted Kuhn Towers and other supported housing sites. If you're passionate about building operations, team leadership, and making a tangible difference every day, we want to hear from you!

Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operation, safety, and maintenance of all assigned housing sites by overseeing preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance activities. This includes leading the Mobile Maintenance Team, managing work orders, coordinating inspections, and maintaining building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety. The role also involves close collaboration with property and program managers, managing vendor contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, participating in safety committees, and responding to urgent maintenance issues. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will oversee inventory control, contribute to budget planning, and supervise and support the development of maintenance staff.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in maintenance or facilities management-preferably within social or supportive housing-and a minimum of two years of experience supervising staff or contractors. Formal training or certification in building maintenance is considered an asset. A valid BC driver's license with access to a reliable, insured vehicle is required, along with current First Aid and WHMIS certifications.

This individual brings strong knowledge of building systems and hands-on maintenance skills, including the ability to perform and oversee minor repairs. Highly organized and solutions-focused, they can manage competing priorities in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
