Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for a Maintenance Manager located in Marietta, Pennsylvania. The Maintenance Manager will coordinate Maintenance and Total Predictive Maintenance functions while managing multiple priorities and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will work with various managers throughout the company and supervise assigned team members.

What you'll be doing:- Performing duties and responsibilities in a safe manner while leaving by example
- Working with corporate engineering and facility manufacturing management
- Organizing, managing, and coaching the Maintenance Supervisor
- Implementing and continuously improving a Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) system
- Working with plant manufacturing to drive improvement in all processes through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ISO documentation, and 5s tools
- Scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment
- Driving and managing various maintenance processes for the plant
- Managing work order system in support of manufacturing activities and safety
- Providing leadership as a functional staff member in support of the organization's Safety Management Process
- Working closely with managers, outside contractors, and vendors
- Supervising assigned team members
- Handling daily Human Resource and disciplinary matters
- Interviewing applicants for open positions and assisting in the selection of qualified employees
- Providing general departmental induction and ensuring proper job training
- Directing maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations
- Inspecting operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards
- Planning, developing, and implementing new methods and procedures designed for process and cost improvement
- Reviewing new product plans and discussing equipment needs and modifications
- Preparing department budget and monitoring expenditure of funds in budget
- Participating in Lean events to drive rapid process improvements throughout the facility
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience
- 5+ years of experience managing maintenance function within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of precision maintenance, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance processes
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and implementation of process improvement methodologies and/or techniques including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
- Experience developing and managing capital improvement projects
- Proven track record leading large and/or complex maintenance operations
- Knowledge of budget, asset and cost structure management

- Previous experience with SAP
