Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

Organize and coordinate all functions pertaining to field maintenance and repairs of all regional company facilities (i.e. Regional Office, Stores, Distribution Centers, Store Support Centers). Assist Director of Construction (Building Services group) and/or Director of Facilities Sustainment (Supply Chain group) by recommending alternatives to provide value to existing and future buildings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report an all major and minor field maintenance and repair of Company buildings, facilities, and equipment including common area / building repairs, energy consumption, equipment repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  • Prioritizes maintenance activities and coordinates same with field maintenance teams (i.e Store Planners, Construction staff, Regional Maintenance Managers and/or DC Maintenance Managers).
  • Prepares and monitors all maintenance project budgets.
  • Coordinates daily, weekly and monthly services for buildings, facilities, and equipment.
  • Researches and secures bids/proposals for regional requests, major repairs and contracts.
  • Inspects buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and supports the field maintenance staff as needed.
  • Manages operation of maintenance call center.
  • Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • Typically reports to Director of Construction/Director Facilities Sustainment/Store Planning/Maintenance.
  • Direct and indirect reports typically include 4 managers/supervisors.
  • Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
  • Typically faces situations that are unstructured and require original approaches.
  • Typically solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management's goals and standards.
  • Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it.

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
  • Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • An associate's degree is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five to eight years of experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software systems

Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
