Pay: $115,000 - 135,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Stockton bakery. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable for leading the maintenance function to ensure optimal equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support the safe, efficient production of high-quality bakery products.

Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team to ensure high performance, accountability, and continuous skill development
  • Oversee maintenance operations to ensure all facility and production equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Manage capital projects to ensure timely, cost-effective execution aligned with operational goals
  • Oversee department budget and control expenditures while supporting cost-efficient decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and all regulatory requirements (OSHA, HAZMAT, AQMD, and others)


Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in bakery or food manufacturing environments
  • Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, including supervisors and technicians
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dayforce, inventory systems)
  • Ability to interpret production schedules, technical documentation, and maintenance records
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds


Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Experience in large-scale bakery or high-speed food manufacturing operations
  • Strong background in root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5-Why)
  • Experience managing capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with Aspire Integrated Management Systems (AIMS) or similar quality systems
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Production and Quality teams
