About the RoleWe are seeking a
Maintenance Manager to join our team at our
Stockton bakery. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable for leading the maintenance function to ensure optimal equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support the safe, efficient production of high-quality bakery products.
Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)- Lead and develop the maintenance team to ensure high performance, accountability, and continuous skill development
- Oversee maintenance operations to ensure all facility and production equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational
- Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Manage capital projects to ensure timely, cost-effective execution aligned with operational goals
- Oversee department budget and control expenditures while supporting cost-efficient decision-making
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and all regulatory requirements (OSHA, HAZMAT, AQMD, and others)
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in bakery or food manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, including supervisors and technicians
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dayforce, inventory systems)
- Ability to interpret production schedules, technical documentation, and maintenance records
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)- Experience in large-scale bakery or high-speed food manufacturing operations
- Strong background in root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5-Why)
- Experience managing capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with Aspire Integrated Management Systems (AIMS) or similar quality systems
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Production and Quality teams
