Full Job Description
Purpose:

Philadelphia Gear part of the Timken Power Systems group in Santa Fe Springs, CA has a current opening for a Maintenance & Facilities Manager position. This position is responsible for capital equipment repair and preventative maintenance and ensures the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Responsible for direct supervision of all general maintenance technicians. Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining all regulatory permits. Manages outside contractors that perform a wide range of services including but not limited to building and fire alarm services, air conditioning/climate control, janitorial, electrical, plumbing, and hazardous material and waste removal. Generally responsible for implementation of corrective actions from safety facility audits. Acts as primary liaison for site warehouse sub-tenant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the day-to-day activities of General Maintenance Mechanics to achieve maximum operational uptime for all facility systems and capital equipment.
  • Manages the program to schedule, plan and track completion of all planned and unplanned equipment and facility repair and maintenance activities.
  • Develops and implements standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety and effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance to all safety requirements in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Ensures compliance to all regulatory requirements in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulatory bodies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Min Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field, in lieu of degree 15+ years of Industrial Maintenance work experience.
  • Leading and coaching skills, especially development and effective delegation.
  • Broad background in manufacturing capital equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance and upkeep.
  • Demonstration of ability to work within a team environment, both as a leader and as a participant. Experience working with people of various levels and backgrounds, specifically with maintenance technicians.
  • Experience managing complex projects, such as capital equipment installation or refurbishment, facility renovation, utility system overhaul.
  • Understanding of safety system and program maintenance and upkeep.
  • Exposure to regulatory and environmental compliance activities.
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).


Pay Range: $108K - $120K annual
