Mainframe EngineerThe Role:NF & IWS Systems, in partnership with the Client Transition Delivery Team, is looking for a highly motivated Mainframe Senior Software Engineer to join the team.
This candidate will focus on responding to client requests by supporting conversion and deconversion activities, including processing data updates, supporting internal conversion events (including mergers and acquisitions), and assisting with mainframe modernization efforts.
The role involves working directly with technical and business partners to fulfill client needs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will learn and work with various distributed technologies (SnapLogic, Snowflake, AWS, etc.) to migrate activities to modernized platforms. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality products consistent with established engineering standards.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:- 8+ years of mainframe software development experience using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
- Knowledge of SQL, File-AID, EZtrieve, and SPUFI is preferred.
- Knowledge of SnapLogic, Snowflake, and AWS is a plus.
- Exposure to distributed technologies such as Java, Angular, and Python is an added advantage.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in-person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner.
