Mainframe Developer IV - Secure File Transfer & Integration for a remote opportunity for candidates working EST hours. Candidate will provide advanced technical expertise supporting secure file transfer, enterprise integrations, and critical data exchange processes across complex business environments. The role will focus on maintaining operational stability, enhancing integration workflows, monitoring systems, and resolving technical issues that affect reliability, compliance, and delivery.

Required Qualifications of the Mainframe Developer IV - Secure File Transfer & Integration:
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another job-related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development, systems testing, systems integration, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SFTP and secure file transfer environments.
  • Experience developing or supporting SecureFX workflows and automated SFTP processes.
  • Experience with SFTP environments involving Tomcat, Java-based scripting, VShell, and automated file cleanup.
  • Experience managing Oracle Java JRE environments.
  • Strong experience configuring and supporting Sterling Connect:Direct file transfers.
  • Experience with Splunk for system monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced technical environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Mainframe Developer IV - Secure File Transfer & Integration:
  • Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Sterling MFT.
  • Additional experience with Splunk monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration, quality assurance, and software development lifecycle practices.

  • Configure, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize SFTP and Sterling Connect:Direct environments.

  • Monitor system activity using Splunk, investigate alerts and logs, and proactively identify potential operational issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration and file transfer problems while developing sustainable solutions that improve system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and other partners to support compliance, operational continuity, project objectives, and delivery commitments.

Work Location: Remote. EST Hours.
