Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Operations Specialist with experience in operational, consultancy, and support roles within IBM Z environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in TSO, ISPF, JCL, REXX scripting, and z/OS automation migration projects, along with hands-on experience implementing and using products such as NetView for z/OS, System Automation for z/OS, and CA OPS/MVS.

Preferred candidates will also bring knowledge of z/OS system operation, configuration, SMP/E, startup/shutdown processes, and competing automation products, as well as experience with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z. Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and proven experience in mainframe automation projects are essential.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
• 5+ years working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy or support role (overall 16 years exp required)
• Demonstrated strong written and communications skills
• The ability to use TSO and ISPF
• JCL skills.
• Ability to write REXX and Working Knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB)
• z/OS Automation Migration Projects

Experience should include implementing and using following products, with a desire to expand your skills to cover others:
NetView for z/OS; System Automation for z/OS ; CA OPS/MVS

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
• Knowledge of other Z software, including the system operation, configuration and automation, z/OS system startup and shutdown, SMP/E
• Knowledge of the products that compete against the IBM products listed previously.
• Knowledge with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z
• 5+ years working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy or support role
• The ability to use TSO and ISPF
