Role Overview- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, and more) to create precision aerospace parts that meet exacting specifications
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements
- Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code, as well as modify existing programs to optimize performance
- Inspect parts before and after machining using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure part accuracy and adherence to tolerances
- Perform basic machine maintenance and resolve routine equipment issues
- Track production data and support continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area-and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability
Ideal Candidate- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or similar automated machining equipment
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in machining preferred
- Solid understanding of shop math, blueprints, and layout techniques
- Skilled in setting up tooling, loading programs, and editing G-code/M-code
- Familiar with SPC methodology and lean manufacturing principles
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a high-performing team
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to doing things the right way-every time

- Familiarity with multi-axis CNC machines or custom fixturing

CompensationThe Base Rate for this position is $40 - $50 per hour. Actual rate will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom's total rewards package for employees.
