M365 Front-end Developer, Web Publisher, #1066Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a positive adjudication for a Public Trust
Seeking a mid-level professional to support design, development, and publishing for federal agency websites. This role blends UI/UX design, SharePoint/M365 development, and web content publishing in a fast-paced environment. Work spans both internal (M365/SharePoint) and public-facing (Drupal) platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional who can manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
There are three key roles: (1) a designer providing page-level and site-level designs; (2) a M365 front-end developer with a focus on SharePoint, including integration with small, custom PowerPlatform deliverables; and (3) a key member of an active web publishing team responsible for completing website change requests in a fast-turn-around environment. This position supports internal and external websites using Microsoft 365, PowerPlatform, SharePoint Online, Drupal, and related technologies.
ScheduleThis is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 9:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
The selected candidate will join a collaborative team of developers, analysts/testers, and web publishers supporting mission-critical government websites and applications.
What You'll Be Doing - Design web pages and sites using templates and style guides
- Develop and maintain SharePoint Online (M365) solutions and Power Platform integrations
- Publish and manage content on Drupal and M365 websites
- Gather requirements and support client demos
- Perform testing (unit, regression, accessibility) for releases
- Handle rapid-turnaround publishing requests
- Participate in on-call rotation (~1 week/month) for after-hours support
- Troubleshoot issues with internal teams and Microsoft support
- Monitor platform updates and recommend solutions
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards
- Collaborate on USWDS (U.S. Web Design System) initiatives
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years web design/publishing experience
- 3-5 years experience with M365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery, Bootstrap)
- Experience with Drupal (preferred) and responsive design
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility
- Experience with testing and requirements documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and layouts
- Portfolio of web design work required
Preferred Qualifications- Experience redesigning large websites
- M365 and/or Google UX certifications
- Strong UI/UX design foundation (typography, color, layout)
Our estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
