We are seeking a motivated M & S Administrator at our Central Warehouse in East Grand Forks or Technical Services Center in Moorhead, MN. The purpose of this position is to supervises the inventory and contract operations of the central warehouse and storeroom functions valley-wide. The position ensures the smooth flow of necessary materials to support valley-wide operations. The M & S Administrator will coordinate and administer the M & S System Development Project to better facilitate factory inventory control throughout all sites. This position provides indirect leadership for up to 5 exempt, salaried, and nonexempt bargaining unit employees.
The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
- Identifies and number valley-wide M & S parts to facilitate maintenance scheduling and improve Storeroom efficiency.
- Identifies obsolete materials and makes recommendations for disposing of material to improve storeroom efficiency.
- Coordinates the flow of inventory levels between the Central Warehouse and factories to assure appropriate numbers of items are kept in stock.
- Trains Factory Storeroom personnel at all sites in the ERP System to ensure the proper use of the system along with any additional analytics software used in the future.
- Maintains favorable relationships with factory personnel in promoting the ERP System to fully utilize and realize maximum benefit of parts and materials inventory.
- Uses current ERP System reports as well as future analytics process to evaluate stock levels, make recommendations, and works with all storerooms to evaluate and implement min/max levels at individual factories. Works with storeroom management to adjust stock levels to improve inventory turnover at all sites.
- Serves as principal applications leader for computerized inventory management system. This includes running reports to track inventory cycle counting and variance adjustments made at all factory locations.
- Key member of the contract evaluation team along with the Materials Supervisor. With this team designation, the M&S Administrator will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing data up to and including: making recommendations to the Materials Supervisor for price changes, contract usage and maintenance of contract. The M&S Administrator will also be part of the contract bid team.
- Purchasing of contract items for the EGF storage location as this includes CWH inventory that is used as a distribution center for all factories.
- Evaluates and processes transfers of MRO and Critical Spares from Central Warehouse to the rest the factories in ACSC.
- Evaluates cost saving or replacement stock materials and coordinates with appropriate Maintenance Managers new stock or replacement stock vendors.
- Because this individual oversees valley-wide inventory levels, it is a necessity that they be able and willing to travel to all factory locations to interact with storeroom and operations teams on inventory evaluation.

To be successful in this position requires an aptitude for understanding the ERP System both MM and PM modules and the resulting total impact. Additionally, general knowledge of purchasing, bidding processes and contract terms and conditions are required. Also required are computerized inventory management and analysis skills, a thorough knowledge of company parts and materials, and effective communication and supervisory skills.
