Full Job Description
The Government Logistics and Warehouse Manager leads the Government centric Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving team and oversees all activities related to the preparation, verification, documentation, and movement of incoming and outgoing materials for our UAV airframe and propulsion systems. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, on-time shipments, compliance with ISO procedures, and the effective training and development of team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and lead Government Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving activities to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
  • Receive incoming shipments, including unpacking, verifying, recording, and routing materials to the appropriate location.
  • Inspect and verify shipment contents against packing slips, receiving reports, and shipping documentation.
  • Record shipment and receiving data, including damages or discrepancies, for reporting and accounting purposes.
  • Pull materials for work orders to support production schedules.
  • Proactively review upcoming projects to identify potential material shortages or inventory issues.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including crating, special packaging, and required documentation.
  • Determine appropriate shipping methods based on customer requirements, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and established operational procedures.
  • Update, maintain, and train team members on inventory control and shipping/receiving procedures in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Perform physical inventory and cycle counts.
  • Work with remote sites to ensure proper physical inventory.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Review and complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience performing similar warehouse, logistics, or inventory control functions.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.
  • Certified to drive forklift or willingness to get certified.
  • Due to federal contract requirements applicable to this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens.


Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and make operational decisions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems and documentation practices.
  • Basic accounting knowledge preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation/keyboard.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.

Salary Range: $90,000-125,000 Annually

This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the base compensation for this position. Actual base compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including location, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions. In exceptional cases, compensation above this range may be considered based on experience, skills, or business needs.

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus based on individual and company performance. Overtime eligibility, if applicable, will be determined in accordance with federal and state law.
