Logistics Supervisor

Your Mission

The Logistics Supervisor will lead daily logistics operations, support the logistics team, and ensure shipments are completed accurately, safely, and on time. This role works closely with Customer Service to support customer requirements, shipment timing, documentation accuracy, and issue resolution. You will also support strong inventory management, warehouse organization, and efficient material flow to help production and customer shipments move without avoidable delays. A key part of the role is maintaining strong compliance for domestic and international shipments, including hazardous material shipments that require careful coordination, documentation, labeling, and regulatory awareness.

How you will make a difference

  • Lead and support daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, packing, documentation, carrier coordination, and shipment prioritization.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to align shipment timing, customer requirements, order priorities, and communication around shipment status or delays.
  • Oversee domestic and international hazardous material shipping activity, ensuring proper documentation, labeling, packaging, and regulatory compliance.
  • Use SAP and logistics data to improve shipment visibility, inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and material transaction flow.
  • Identify process gaps and implement practical improvements that reduce shipment errors, inventory discrepancies, warehouse inefficiencies, delays, rework, and unnecessary freight cost.
  • Develop the logistics team through clear expectations, training, follow-up, and a safe, organized, 6S-focused work environment.


What you should be good at

  • Minimum five years of logistics, shipping, receiving, or supply chain experience, with prior leadership or supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping requirements, including hazardous material shipping documentation, packaging, labeling, and compliance controls, with working knowledge of DOT and IATA shipping requirements.
  • Ability to work directly with Customer Service, carriers, internal departments, and external partners to resolve shipment issues and meet customer commitments.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and SAP ERP systems, with the ability to use data to support inventory control and logistics decisions.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse flow, inventory accuracy, cycle count discipline, storage practices, and efficient use of warehouse space.
  • Strong organization, follow-up, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving operations environment.
  • Ability to lead a team, set priorities, hold standards, and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and ATF background check
