A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Logistics Professional, you will be a key player in the Region North America Order Management team, leading the charge in managing international air and ocean shipments to and from various global locations. Your expertise will ensure the seamless coordination of logistics operations, optimizing efficiency while adhering to regulatory requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you will implement best practices to enhance our shipping processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and operational excellence in a fast-paced international environment, making a significant impact on our logistics strategy and customer satisfaction.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop comprehensive logistics and transportation plans in advance of shipping activities for large Mods & Upgrades projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Identify project-specific documentation requirements for exports by collaborating with ECC and Freight Forwarders to ensure compliance with US Export Regulations.
  • Determine project-specific documentation requirements for US imports, facilitating smooth customs clearance and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Leverage expertise in transportation logistics, warehouse consolidation, packaging, and freight forwarders/transporters to effectively manage both domestic and international shipments.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all logistics-related activities, providing guidance and support to ensure best practices are followed throughout the shipping process.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of ten years of experience in power generation project logistics.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP and a general understanding of Microsoft Excel to manage logistics operations effectively.
  • Strong commercial knowledge and understanding of contract terms and conditions, including the ability to identify INCOTERMS in customer contracts (Mods and Open Market).
  • Proven ability to apply and utilize Export Control and Customs experience to create and manage import and export logistics, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and other technical product documents, along with a general understanding of Gas/Steam/Generator Turbine parts/materials.
  • Must be a self-starter with effective communication and organizational skills, demonstrating an ownership mentality to ensure customer and team success; detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Master's degree in International Business or equivalent, with subject matter expertise in international project logistics.
  • Fluency in Spanish or German is a plus.
