Logistics Operations Supervisor

Lead a team dedicated to efficient material flow and continuous improvement, ensuring that parts from vendors and Bell's Centers of Excellence are received and distributed seamlessly for both production and spare orders to key locations and customers around the world, 27/7.
What you'll be doing as a Logistics Operations Supervisor
As a Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will lead and oversee a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient material flow, accurate inventory control, compliant military support processes, and consistent execution of logistics standards. You will drive continuous improvement, promote operational discipline, and support cross-functional collaboration to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop team members across logistics operations, packaging, inventory management, and military supply support.
• Oversee workflow execution and resource planning to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely processing of materials and orders.
• Support continuous improvement by applying lean concepts, evaluating logistics processes, and driving initiatives that reduce waste and improve performance.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory records by coordinating cycle counts, reconciliations, and audit support in alignment with Textron policies.
• Provide oversight of military supply support activities, including order entry, repair order initiation, GFP documentation, and contract-driven material movements.
• Monitor KPIs and operational data to identify trends, prevent issues, and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal partners including Procurement, COEs, Military Programs, and Customer Support to resolve issues and maintain operational alignment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across all assigned work areas.
• Support onboarding, training, and standardized work to ensure consistency in process execution.
• Perform additional duties as needed to meet business needs and support organizational goals.
Skills You Bring To this Role
• Logistics/Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics operations, including inventory management, shipping (hazardous and non-hazardous), and process optimization.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze operational data, develop KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and carriers.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with logistics or manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, CAMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
What you need to be successful
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5-years Logistics experience preferred.
• Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, preferred.
• Experience working with unionized workforce, preferred.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Data analytics skills and experience; attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently develop and lead a project.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc). Strong Excel experience is necessary.
• Strong analytical skills processing large amounts of data are required.
