Position OverviewThe Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics coordination, and purchasing activities to ensure products move efficiently throughout the organization. This is a highly hands-on leadership role that combines operational oversight with active participation in warehouse activities, requiring a leader who is equally comfortable developing processes, managing vendor relationships, and stepping in to support shipping, receiving, inventory, or fulfillment when needed.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Logistics Operations Manager plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse workflows, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring products are available to meet customer demand. The position partners closely with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Accounting, and Leadership to drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, and support the company's continued growth.

Duties and Responsibilities- Logistics & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and order fulfillment.
- Supervise and support warehouse staff.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and carrier relationships.
- Resolve shipping delays, shortages, damages, and logistics-related issues.
- Maintain warehouse organization, operational efficiency, and safety standardss
- Coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance and operational needs, including forklift maintenance and service scheduling.
- Manage forklift certification scheduling and compliance requirements.
- Assist in developing and improving warehouse and logistics procedures.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations.
- Oversee cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and stock adjustments.
- Ensure inventory availability to support customer demand and operational requirements.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and process gaps.
- Maintain accurate inventory and operational data within ERP systems.
- Partner with Purchasing to monitor inventory levels, identify replenishment needs, and support product availability.
- Provide inventory analysis and operational insights to assist with purchasing decisions and inventory planning.
- Purchasing & Procurement
- Source products, materials, and operational supplies from vendors
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Track open orders, vendor lead times, and incoming shipments
- Develop and maintain vendor and supplier relationships
- Assist with negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms
- Monitor purchasing needs to maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Operational Leadership
- Work closely with the VP of Operations to support company growth and operational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Make independent operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Accounting, and Leadership teams.
- Assist in developing scalable operational processes and best practices.
- Support operational reporting and performance metrics related to inventory, fulfillment, and logistics.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Prior experience supervising warehouse or operational staff preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating freight shipments, carrier relationships, and logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse management practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes.
- Forklift certification or warehouse safety experience is a plus.
Working Conditions- Frequent interaction with team members, management, agents, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and external partners to facilitate smooth operations and collaborations.
- The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes the ability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the warehouse or worksite.
