Summary

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP, LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This is the Combat Data Systems Assistant Program Manager for Logistics with the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF)/PMA 235.

Help

  • You will identify all activities involved in providing needed logistical support; to integrate the actions required of each activity into a comprehensive logistics plan in support of or to be incorporated into overall program plans.
  • You will monitor progress in meeting the logistics plan and identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems (varying degrees of responsibility for taking actions to prevent or overcome such problems may also be included).
  • You will adjust plans for all related actions as required by changes to logistics requirements; and to evaluate plans for and provision of logistical support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and to develop alternatives when required.
  • You will formulate the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for assigned weapon system.
  • You will determine/decide, based on technical information/feedback/funding availability, the best approach for expending resources to insure an adequate logistics support posture.
  • You will provide cost-supporting data and develop tailored application of the elements of life cycle costing based on authoritative knowledge of the unique characteristics of weapon system.
  • You will be responsible for acquisition planning and execution including schedule, technical, and fiscal management.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-05/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the DS-05/GS-13 level in the Federal service, managing all Integrated Logistics Support Elements across the total life cycle of the weapons system; leading logistics professionals in all logistics elements; identifying deficiencies and creating mitigation steps to ensure weapons readiness; managing and defending logistics financial resources management to include understanding requirements, planning and execution.
