Summary

You will serve as a Readiness Analysis Lead in the Air Systems Group, Logistics Department, Readiness & Fleet Analytics Division, Program Readiness Analysis Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

Help

  • You will direct, mentor, and oversee a multidisciplinary team of readiness analysts, logisticians, and data specialists to establish analytical standards, prioritize workflow across competing mission requirements, and foster professional development.
  • You will lead team efforts to synchronize Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) acquisition and sustainment schedules, track depot turnaround times, maintenance timelines, and supply pipeline lead times against operational availability milestones.
  • You will direct technical and operational evaluations against baseline program parameters and higher-level logistics directives and establish benchmarks to track and achieve target Mission Capable (MC) and Full Mission Capable (FMC) rates.
  • You will spearhead the team's execution of rigorous Root Cause Analyses (RCA) to isolate, diagnose, and quantify the operational impact of primary weapon system readiness degraders, maintenance bottlenecks, and supply chain constraints.
  • You will lead the formulation, modeling, and ranking of actionable Courses of Action (COAs) to remediate degraders as well as deliver data-driven, risk-adjusted COA studies (balancing cost, schedule feasibility, and readiness yield) to leaders.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (DS-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

(1) Formulating the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for weapon systems, along with providing cost supporting data of the unique characteristics of weapon systems; (2) Exercising resource responsibility and authority over support budgets and determining what is the best approach in expending resources to insure an adequate logistics support posture; (3) Submitting and defending program budgets in response to data calls as well as defending support cost information presented to the project/program manager and to higher levels within the agency; (4) Directing analyses by appropriate activities and implementing corrective actions, along with managing the efforts of all logistics personnel providing life cycle product support to the weapon system; and (5) Developing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning and supportability requirements for program documentation and managing the development and preparation sections of these documents.
