Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Logistics Engineer to support end-to-end logistics planning, coordination, and execution across program operations, including material readiness, supply chain tracking, and logistics reporting to ensure mission and program requirements are met. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA and will be an onsite role based at our subcontractor facility.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
  • Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
  • Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy.
  • Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
  • Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
  • Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life-cycle of product.
  • Develops and implements program activities, coordinates efforts of subcontractors, production departments, and field service personnel to ensure meeting of contractual commitments.
  • Compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities.
  • Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
  • Develops and initiates preparation of handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to provide and supply logistics support.
  • Provides DD 1149 Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Document to Project Manager.
  • Aides Project Manager in preparing DD 250 Material Inspection and Receiving Report to customer.
Qualifications

Clearance Required:

  • Active DoW security clearance (Secret or higher preferred, if required)
  • Ability to support clearance verification, access provisioning, and security compliance requirements across multiple ANG installations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma with 6-9 years (or commensurate) experience.
  • Logistics planning, maintenance engineering, or lifecycle logistics for complex federal or DoW programs.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), maintenance planning, sustainment, and product lifecycle management.
  • Coordinating logistics activities across cross-functional teams, subcontractors, production organizations, and field service personnel.
  • Knowledge of calibration requirements, field support equipment, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Developing logistics documentation, including technical handbooks, bulletins, maintenance procedures, and support documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess logistics support requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Eligibility for base access and installation credentials (CAC required).
  • Ability to work onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience supporting DoW logistics, sustainment, or field support programs.
  • Familiarity with military logistics, supply chain operations, maintenance engineering, and field service support.
  • Experience performing maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for government customers.
  • Familiarity with logistics information systems, ERP systems, or asset management platforms.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
