Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Analyst to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This is an onsite position.

Support Naval Air Systems Command's (NAVAIR's) Environmental Engineering Branch located at NAS Patuxent River.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with the NAVAIR team to provide comprehensive logistics and supply analysis, focusing on the tracking and identification of hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and environmental pollutants
  • Ensure data integrity within the HAZMAT Logistics Product Database elements and partner with material engineers to identify alternatives for unauthorized materials
  • Maintain and utilize key military hazardous materials databases, including Aviation Hazardous Materials List (AHML) and Deployed Aviation Hazardous Materials Lists (DAHMLs)
  • Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface military leadership, government clients, and subconsultants
  • Provide Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) logistics input and review critical acquisition documents, such as Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP) and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Process and respond to fleet inquiries regarding hazardous material inquiries from the fleet, including Ship Hazardous Materials List (SHML) Feedback Requests
  • Must be able to conduct site visits and travel periodically to support NAVAIR requirements


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of active-duty military with Navy Supply or Logistics experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in military logistics and supply chain management can be substituted for active-duty experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing military supply system tools, such as WebFLIS, FEDLOG, or HMIRS, to review hazardous material availability
  • Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets using Microsoft Excel and Access, including building and performing complex queries
  • Working knowledge of environmental compliance (e.g., under NEPA, ESA, CWA, CAA, etc.) in support of the military acquisition process


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science or a related analytical field
  • Demonstrated experience with NAVAIR or another Navy Systems Command in logistics and supply, hazardous materials compliance, and military acquisition processes
  • Experience solving complex logistics, supply chain, and hazardous materials compliance challenges
  • Ability to multi-task effectively to accommodate various simultaneous, fast-paced, and diverse projects within tight deadlines
  • Knowledge in acquisition processes and environmental/HAZMAT


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current and active Secret clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $79,700.00-$132,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
