In this position...

North America Material Logistics is responsible for coordinating the movement of all inbound material to support vehicle production at each of our assembly plants. This role is responsible for leading several system and process enhancements, including assisting with the development and implementation of our new TMS together with our LLP teams.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Lead the development and implementation of Transportation Management System (TMS) modules alongside our IT teams and Lead Logistics Providers (LLP)
  • Gather stakeholder requirements, create business cases, and present proposals to management
  • Document and improve current business practices across multiple teams within material logistics working cross-functionally, to create process efficiencies and cost saves
  • Develop and maintain freight databases, dashboards, and key metrics
  • Interface with LLP on connectivity with new in development TMS system; define processes to connect systems for future use
  • Create implementation plans and rollout processes with key stakeholders
  • Support special projects and requests through data gathering and analysis
  • Work remotely, with flexibility to come to the office when needed


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Supply Chain, Logistics, Premium Freight, Manufacturing


Even better, you may have...
  • Demonstrate aptitude to deliver new IT tools to support our technology requirements
  • Strong leadership skills to collaborate with plant personnel, staff MP&L, and cross-functional (Purchasing, Lead Logistics Providers, etc.) teams
  • Demonstrate ability to produce quality results under time constraints, sometimes in team setting, other times alone
  • Strong analytical abilities, coupled with decision-making capability
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to conduct root cause analysis and develop permanent corrective actions
  • Strong understanding of Material Planning & Logistics systems (TMS or similar systems) and Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools (Alteryx, QlikSense, Google Cloud Platform, etc.) desirable

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
