Position Summary

Thales has a vacancy for a Logistics Lead to coordinate and/or support the storage and transportation processes of the organization's inventory and goods. Provide proper support for plan, store and take inventory of the raw materials needed for a product. Once ready for distribution, the Logistics Lead will review the orders and will prepare the product for delivery. After shipment, the Logistics Lead will review and monitor the shipment's delivery timeline to ensure it reaches the customer the customer quickly and safely. In case of any shipment or inventory issues, the Logistic Lead are responsible for addressing and resolving them.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Prepare and Reviewing sales orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy for domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments. Create and coordinate import and export documents to obtain all custom releases and invoices for all import accounts. Coordinate all import/export transportation, assist in clearance of all invoices for payment, and monitor transportation.
  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary. Tracking and fixing shipping errors. Assist with building a working warehouse to manage the movement, staging, jobsite cleanliness and organization of all materials. Proactively review material lists with Production to ensure accurate quantities of material are ordered and received with minimum overages or shortages
  • Develop protocols and coordinate inventory movement between warehouse and our offsite storage partners. Guarantee proper inventory and shipment transactions into ERP system. Support to maintain inventory by means of daily cycle counts, and physical inventories, and reconciling variance inputting data. Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized. Close partnership with all internal departments. Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Engineering and QA. Design and execute future state warehouse initiatives in relation to improvements in productivity and cost savings using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Identify safety risks according to the compliance requirements for OSHA and support the 5S initiative
  • Keep warehouse equipment operating, requiring preventative maintenance and calling for repairs. Be the subject matter expert on receiving and put-away warehouse functions, participate and manage process daily. Be the acting Logistics Manager when the Logistics Manager is away or on vacation.


  • Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years general experience in Logistics activities.
  • Experience with Trade compliance processes.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Expert inventory management.
  • Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes.
  • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in manufacturing and/or Logistics.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, organized, autonomous, a team-player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to work well under pressure Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, specially Excel and PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Oracle skills. Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis tools (RCA) and 8D report analysis.


  • Special Position Requirements

  • Schedule: Administrative time (8h/day) starting anytime from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. but with flexibility for occasional appearance in shift times for team support/communication.
  • Physical Environment: Manufacturing environment.
  • Travel: Availability to occasional domestic and/or oversea trips for Customer, Supplier or internal events.undefined
