Responsibilities

  • Manage cases from complaint filing through trial
  • Lead and guide the litigation team
  • Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Evaluate documents drafted by staff and associates
  • Prepare trial strategy and materials
  • Develop and strategize Motions in Limine and trial documents
  • Negotiate settlements and handle mediations
  • Lead jury trials as First Chair
  • Handle post-trial motions and client legal opinions.

Full Job Description
LOCATION: Burbank, CA

PAY RANGE: $130K - $180K+ (bonus/commission)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3-5 trial experience as first chair
  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Personal injury litigation experience.
  • Be able to work under strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to handle a large caseload.
  • Strong legal research and analysis.
  • Strong legal writing skills.
  • Law and motion experience.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Reliable and punctual.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Day-to-day handling of cases from filing of the complaint to trial.
  • Provide guidance and lead the litigation team.
  • taking depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Reviewing drafted documents from staff and associates.
  • Trial preparation and strategy.
  • Prepare and strategize Motions in Limine and associated trial documents.
  • Settlement negotiations.
  • Settlement/dispositive proceedings [Mediations, arbitrations, etc.]
  • Jury trials as First Chair.
  • Post-trial motions.
  • Provide legal opinions to clients.
