Litigation AttorneyReports To: Managing Partner
Summary/Objective: Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join our expanding legal team. This position entails managing personal injury cases throughout the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, attending hearings, participating in mediations, preparing cases for trial, and negotiating resolutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, strong litigation abilities, strategic case management, and a commitment to achieving outstanding results for injured clients.
Physical Demands: This position primarily operates in a professional office setting and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. The role may occasionally involve standing, walking, bending, and reaching, as well as lifting or carrying files and materials weighing up to 15 pounds. Clear verbal communication and attentive listening are essential, as the position requires frequent interaction with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties.
Job Conditions: The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and is climate-controlled. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. Court appearances, depositions, mediations, and occasional travel related to case responsibilities may be required. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered based on the needs of the firm and individual performance.

Qualifications• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Successful completion of the Louisiana Bar Exam is required.
• 7+ years of personal injury litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Experience drafting and arguing motions.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in case management software (experience with Filevine is a plus).
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
