Description

The Opportunity: Step Inside the Courtroom, Not Just the Library

We are seeking a sharp, driven, and ambitious Litigation Associate to join our Boston office. This isn't a role where you'll be buried in document review for the next three years. We want a true advocate-someone who wants to handle real courtroom work, take a meaningful role in depositions, draft high-stakes motions, and directly counsel clients. If you are a self-starter who wants to develop elite trial skills while building a solid core foundation as a litigator, this is your opportunity.

Requirements

What You'll Do
  • Own Your Matters: Manage cases from initial investigation and intake through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
  • Drive Strategy: Draft complex pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda that shape the outcome of high-stakes commercial, regulatory, and administrative disputes.
  • Master Discovery: Run efficient, strategic discovery processes, including drafting interrogatories, managing electronic discovery (e-discovery), and preparing for, taking, and defending depositions.
  • Advocate Fiercely: Represent clients in federal, state, and administrative courts across Massachusetts and beyond. You will actively participate in hearings, oral arguments, and trials.
  • Counsel & Problem-Solve: Serve as a clear, authoritative, and trusted advisor to clients, translating intricate legal risks into actionable business strategies.
  • Collaborate Nationwide: Work seamlessly alongside our regulatory and transactional teams to deliver multidisciplinary, creative legal solutions for a cutting-edge client base.

Who You Are & Qualifications
  • A Quick-Witted Advocate: You possess the sharp intellectual agility needed to untangle highly complex, novel legal arguments on the fly. You think on your feet and remain poised under pressure.
  • An Ambitious Self-Starter: You don't wait for a roadmap. You take extreme ownership of your work, anticipating case needs before they arise, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • An Elite Communicator: Your legal writing is crisp, persuasive, and precise. You possess excellent verbal communication skills and command a room whether speaking to a client, opposing counsel, or a judge.
  • Values-Driven: A profound commitment to client service, unwavering integrity, and a desire to contribute positively to a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive firm culture.

Deep Legal & Procedural Foundation
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
  • 2 to 5 years of dedicated litigation experience, preferably within a sophisticated law firm environment or via a prestigious judicial clerkship.
  • Active bar membership in Massachusetts (or immediate eligibility to waive in).
  • Strong working knowledge of Massachusetts and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
