Salary: $141,164.00 to $243,760.00 annually
Midpoint: $192,462.00 annually

Starting pay is based on job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, internal alignment, and organizational needs. Most new hires are typically placed between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Position Summary

The Supervisor of Power Delivery Line Department oversees daily operations of line and fiber-optic functions, providing leadership, technical expertise, and direction to staff and contractors. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations through the implementation of safety programs, maintenance strategies, and regulatory compliance standards. This role plans and prioritizes work, supports employee development and engagement, and ensures accountability in performance and outcomes.

In addition, this position manages resources, supports budgeting activities, and evaluates tools and processes to enhance operational effectiveness. Serving as a subject matter expert, the supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain system reliability.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Supervise and lead staff and contractors in power delivery line and fiber optic operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance expectations
  • Establish, enforce, and continuously improve safety standards through training, field audits, inspections, and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to build a skilled and capable workforce
  • Foster clear communication and team alignment through regular meetings and ongoing engagement
  • Administering employee support functions, including timesheet and leave approvals, account administration and expense reimbursements.
  • Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs to enhance system reliability and performance
  • Monitor operational metrics related to safety, quality and efficiency; prepare reports and maintain accurate records
  • Evaluate tools, equipment, and resources to improve productivity and meet organizational need
  • Assist in budget development, track expenditure, and provide recommendations supported by data and documentation
  • Serve as subject matter expert, collaborating with Asset Management, Power Delivery Engineering, and Opex initiatives (Corrective Action, Human Performance, Continuous Improvement)
  • Lead Maintenance Engineering and Tree Trimming programs to ensure system reliability and FAC-3 compliance.

    • Supporting work stoppages by employees when they identify unsafe/hazardous working conditions.
    • Acknowledging compliant safety behaviors and good safety performance from members of your team(s).

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; OR two (2) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree; AND
  • One of the following:
    • Five (5) years of experience working on line crews performing electrical repair and maintenance, with a valid Journeyman Lineman Certificate; OR
    • Ten (10) years of experience managing aerial and underground construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications):
  • Seven (7) years of journeyman experience on crews performing transmission, distribution power line electrical.
