This Audit Senior Manager role will be based out of our Boston, or Burlington MA office, but will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule as well. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you have an opportunity to build a strong team and be provided with a path to Partnership. How You'll Spend Your Time: - Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client service - Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion - Providing supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement manager and partner - Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines - Creating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit and maintain profitable realization rates - Reviewing and evaluating work papers, and determine compliance with professional standards and firm policy - Reviewing reports and financial statements - Reviewing with the engagement partner significant findings that raise questions involving auditing standards and firm policy - Managing risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executed - Effectively managing employee and client expectations - Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with client management - Provide on-the-job training to team members - Developing staff by taking an active role in the Firm's learning and development activities - Completing performance evaluations constructively and timely, and also provide ongoing performance feedback to employees The Kind of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following: - BBA/BS/MS in Accounting - Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and PCAOB/SEC rules and regulations - Familiar with the transactions common in the life science space including complex debt and equity transactions such as warrant accounting, and stock-based compensation arrangements - 10+ years of relevant experience - Must be a licensed CPA - Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including, specifically within SEC Assurance - Ability to articulately communicate professional/technical knowledge - Thorough understanding of complex technical issues - Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy - Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships. - Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment. - Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to engagement partners or client's management - Excellent organizational and project management skills and strong attention to detail The compensation for this position ranges from $150,000-$225,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
