What we need

As the Learning Experience Technologist serves you will be a specialized member of the Field Learning Center of Excellence (COE), responsible for applying emerging technologies to enhance learning effectiveness, accelerate workforce readiness, and improve performance outcomes.

You will partner with the Learning Program Architect to evaluate prototypes. develop, and implement innovative learning solutions using technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), simulation-based learning, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), gamification, and interactive performance support tools.

This position is a blend of instructional design and learning technology, helping to translate learning strategies into engaging, practice-based experiences that improve knowledge retention, skill development, and real-world performance in highly technical operational environments. This position will support the Field Learning COE in building evidence-based approaches for emerging learning technologies and report to the Director, Field Training.

What youll do
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative learning technologies that support Field Learning COE objectives.
  • Assess applicability of emerging technologies for technical, operational, maintenance, and leadership development programs.
  • Design and develop simulation-based learning experiences that allow learners to practice skills in realistic, low-risk environments.
  • Partner with SMEs and instructional designers to create realistic troubleshooting, decision-making, and operational scenarios.
  • Explore applications of VR, AR, MR, and digital simulations to improve technical proficiency and knowledge transfer.
  • Create interactive learning experiences that promote practice, repetition, and skill mastery.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI technologies to improve learning effectiveness, personalization, and learner support.
  • Partner with learning teams to integrate AI capabilities into learning experiences where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively to determine when immersive, simulation-based, or technology-enabled approaches are appropriate.
  • Develop engaging and interactive learning assets that support defined learning outcomes.
  • Ensure learning experiences align with accessibility, usability, and quality standards.
  • Collect and analyze learner feedback and performance data associated with technology-enabled learning solutions.


What youll need
  • Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Educational Technology, Human Performance, Game Design, Learning Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, learning technology, immersive learning, simulation development, or related fields.
  • Experience developing interactive, scenario-based, or simulation-based learning solutions.
  • Experience evaluating and applying emerging learning technologies.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business and performance needs into effective learning experiences.
  • Hybrid role based in Wilmington, MA. (3 days a week)


Our Environment
  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid drivers license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $101,000.00 - $138,600.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
