Full Job Description
Our Learning and Development department seeks a senior learning consultant. This role is responsible for working with senior stakeholders and business partners to design, develop and facilitate custom learning journeys and solutions. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. Some departments at our Headquarters offer a hybrid work option that may vary depending on your role and responsibilities.
Salary: The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
• fully execute on and manage relationships as a key liaison with internal business partners
• partner directly with business divisions to discuss existing needs and identify potential training and learning solutions
• lead projects by overseeing the planning, development and delivery of training programs or learning initiatives
• collaborate with internal team members to brainstorm, design, develop and facilitate workshops and leadership programs
• deliver workshops, training and learning solutions for intermediate and advanced audiences
Be equipped with the ability to:
• think on your feet, demonstrate flexibility in working with others and adapt to changing circumstances in a calm manner
• ask questions to probe deep into an issue, glean key themes from conversations and summarize them back
• grasp new concepts quickly and incorporate them into the training
• be self-aware, reflect and learn from your own self-reflection
• enhance your understanding of the learning and development field, adult learning theories and methodologies, and behavioral science
• bring thought leadership in the area of learning and behavioral development
• know when and how to communicate, inform or escalate; and when to make decisions independently
• be confident and comfortable with senior-level audiences to present and facilitate in a credible manner
Bring education and experience from:
• a bachelor's degree
• a master's degree in I/O psychology, human resources or a related field (preferred)
• five or more years of experience delivering training and learning solutions for intermediate and advanced audiences
• five or more years of experience in the insurance industry (preferred), or proficient knowledge in a specific insurance department's operation (ex. underwriting, claims, communications, sales, marketing, customer service)
• experience training key human development skills like communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, empathy, conflict resolution and adaptability
• experience collaborating with executive stakeholders on complex initiatives
• experience in mentoring and coaching less experienced team members
• experience leading projects that drive department and/or enterprise initiatives
• Microsoft ae Teams and Adobe experience
• direct experience with agents and/or policyholders (preferred)
• experience developing and applying competency and/or job models to define role expectations, skills and capability requirements
