Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $92,300.00 - $153,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Summary:

The EHS Business Efficiency Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs by integrating lean methodologies, continuous improvement practices, and strategic business support. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, strengthening safety culture, and optimizing performance through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.

Partnering closely with operations and field leadership, this role leads and facilitates learning team events, supports site-level execution, and identifies opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and increase overall effectiveness. The EHS Business Efficiency Manager plays a key role in aligning EHS initiatives with business objectives while ensuring consistent implementation of programs and standards across the enterprise.

Additionally, the position provides onsite training support, advances procurement excellence by ensuring alignment with EHS expectations, and strengthens client relationships by delivering value-driven safety solutions. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, and a commitment to building a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and care.

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Drive Operational Efficiency:
Lead the integration of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance EHS and operational performance across the business.
Facilitate Learning Team Events:
Plan and lead learning team sessions to identify root causes, share insights, and implement sustainable improvements that reduce risk and improve outcomes.
Partner with Operations:
Collaborate with business and field leadership to align EHS initiatives with operational goals, ensuring practical, effective, and scalable solutions.
Enhance EHS Program Effectiveness:
Support the execution and continuous improvement of EHS programs, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Provide Onsite Support & Training:
Deliver hands-on field engagement and targeted training to reinforce safe work practices, improve adoption of processes, and build local capability.
Advance Procurement Excellence:
Partner with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure EHS expectations are embedded in sourcing, contractor management, and supplier performance.
Strengthen Client Relationships:
Support client engagement by promoting EHS value, ensuring alignment with client expectations, and contributing to strong, trust-based partnerships.
Leverage Data & Insights:
Utilize metrics, trends, and performance data to identify gaps, prioritize actions, and drive informed decision-making.
Promote Culture of Continuous Improvement:
Champion a culture of accountability, learning, and innovation across One EHS Team approach and operations.
Influence & Engage Stakeholders:
Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization to drive alignment, engagement, and sustained performance improvement.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field
  • Experience supporting EHS programs within a large company environment.
  • Experience leading projects and a strong understanding of Lean Principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster teambuilding and "buy-in" of new initiatives and goals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and facilitating requirements gathering sessions.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience (Yellow, Green, Black Belts a plus).
  • Ability to lead projects and allocate actions to the team with on time tracking and urgency.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to drive programs and improvements across a matrix organization.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization and familiar with databases, data structure, and queries.
  • Ability to travel 40- 50%
